John started his role as a voluntary Police Chaplaincy in 1992 in Hackney, East London with the Met and continued with that role until 2002 when his family and he moved to take on the pastorate at Hockley Pentecostal Church (now Life Community Church) in 2002.  

Whilst in Birmingham he was invited to continue his voluntary Police Chaplaincy role with West Midlands Police and continued doing that until he was invited to take on the role of Force Lead Chaplain on a part-time basis in 2008 and now full time from August 2020. 

Outside of chaplaincy John enjoy’ s golf (playing) and football (spectating).
