Rev. Rachel Borgars has volunteered for Hampshire Constabulary for the last 2 years, both as a Chaplain and a member of the Constabulary Band. Prior to moving to Hampshire, she was a volunteer police chaplain with Avon & Somerset Constabulary for 12 years.
Rachel’s “day job” is as a full-time minister in the Methodist Church, something she has done for the last 20+ years. This involves having overall responsibility for 7 churches, something she shares with two colleagues.
In a previous job she was a Civil Servant for 13 years; working in a variety of posts from the Immigration Service to the Prison Ombudsman’s office.
Away from work, Rachel follows Bath Rugby and the international Rugby teams, enjoys family history and spends time with her husband who also works with Rachel as a part-time administrator
