I trained on the NACP National Training Course in 2010 when I was first taking up a role as Police Chaplain with Derbyshire Constabulary. I thoroughly enjoyed the training course - especially the banter and I came away saying that I would be one of those chaplains who made the tea and washed the cups.
My story was picked up by a local reporter who was visiting the station one afternoon and as you will see from the articles which have followed my chaplaincy has developed.
It has been a blessing to be able to stand alongside, support and encourage officers and to raise the profile of Police Chaplaincy. Chaplaincy is an incredibly humbling ministry and I love it !
